Description of story: The story discusses the financial and mostly environmental affect building a wall to separate the Mexican and U.S. borders would causes; stating that there are many laws and acts that should be protecting this kind of issue but will be put aside for what Trump believes will solve our immigration 'issue'.
Description of problem: Environmentalists argue that building a wall in this desert that actually contains diverse ecosystems will worsen the issue of endangered species, animals will not be able to explore and mate, migrations patterns will change and will degrade habitat for these animals.
Description of who has the problem: For this article, it depends on who values which issue more; Trump and his supporters value the issue of immigration and building the wall, no matter what the cost is. As opposed to environmentalist who value this issue of endangered species more.
Opportunity #2: "Pets- Owner of sick dog couldn't afford hysterectomy and instead put her to sleep"
Description of story: Dr. Khuly stresses the subject spaying/neutering their pets when they get them at a young age to avoid infections and cancerous possibilities in the long-run; also, that spaying/neutering their pet as soon as they get them is less expensive than treating infections or cancerous tumors that will come in the long-run if it is not done.
Description of problem: Clients are naive to consequences that will eventually come if they do not spay/neuter their pets and then blame the veterinarian for not being able to do more.
Description of who has the problem: Pet owners are the ones who deal with their pets developing infections and cancerous tumors; having to tend to their needs which is usually very costly.
Opportunity #3: "Venezuelan government says it put down military uprising"
Description of story: There was a military uprising against the Venezuelan government where they called out for others to join on social media demanding a new election and an end to the Nicolas Maduro administration.
Description of problem: There are several problems in this article. First, the fact that the military was able to sneak around, with armed weapons, taking people for hostage jut to make a statement. Second, that their calling to the public to join them can actually summon something more horrifying such as mass public shootings, resulting in innocent lives being taken.
Description of who has the problem: I believe the general Venezuelan public is caught in the middle of these disputes and the government now has to worry about who in their system is secretly a rebel.
Description of story: Anabelle Lima-Taub expressed what most would say is an Islamophobic and racist comment on Facebook pertaining to her concern of a Muslim congresswomen. The comment arose many citizens who felt the same but also many politics who felt her actions would bring an uprising of more hate and racism.
Description of problem: Anabelle Lima-Taub stands with her comment and is falling back on our first amendment of freedom of expression and politics are saying that this amendment does have its boundaries so that it does not backfire and cause negative and hateful stereotypes.
Description of who has the problem: I believe this issues can hurt everyone; the impression of Hallandale Beach electives and directors now have citizens looking at them differently for having a Commissioner who is openly being racist, Anabelle Lima-Taub is now being perceived as a racist an dis spreading hate and for the muslim congresswomen, I believe she is the victim in all of this.

I thought your blog post was very well organized and easy to read. My favorite article was about the seals. I have also read somewhere that bread is actually terrible for ducks, a common snack given to them by pedestrians. Its kind of ironic, in a sad way, that even though these people have nothing but good intentions, their actually endangering the animal. I liked how you related the seals sickness back to the local wildlife care. It is interesting to see how many connections one problem can have and the effects it can cause.
